Delayed Jet Lag

We are trying Melatonin to reduce jet lag by taking doses at certain times starting several days before leaving Scottsdale.   For the first two nights, it seemed to work. But tonite, at 3AM here we are wide awake.  This brief blog post is one of those "can't sleep" activities.

Part of our local cell phone deal includes unlimited texting.  I've been doing it awhile, Susanne hasn't.  And these phones are different from our USA models.  We need practice.

So, picture this.  In the middle of the night, we are laying next to each other on the bed, planning our day tomorrow (today, actually) via text messaging...where to have b'fast, which sight to see (probably Chateau de Vincennes), etc.

Our hotel is small, maybe 15-20 rooms.  We're on the same floor as Reception.  No smoking allowed in the hotel.  Like many Europeans, the afternoon Reception clerk smokes.  So when he takes a break, he gives new meaning to the term "hanging out".

Yes, the window is directly across from our room. The cigarette is in his right hand, hard to see against the white wall.
