Practice Blog #3

Now I want some practice inserting photos...taken from our trip to Kansas mid-July 2012:

We're in the hot tub with Noah age 4 & Sabra age 2, both will add a year with their birthdays in August.

Will try another photo...Sabra, me & a cupcake.


















Now let's try a video.  The spa shown above is only about a fourth of the entire spa.  The rest is devoted to a pool for just splashing about.  Or, if you're really serious, the water will move down the length and the swimmer swims in place against the current...sort of an aquatic treadmill.  There's a term for this but I can't think of it at the moment.

Here's 8 seconds of daughter Carole swimming upstream.  (I didn't have the ambition to try it myself...maybe next time.) [I inserted the vid into the blog but it doesn't play in the edit mode or in the preview mode.  So this is the purpose of practicing blogging...to see if it works when distributed.]

 

Practice Blog #2

That first one worked, but information-wise it was nothing, literally.

BTW, let me know if you have a preference when being sent to another website.  Do you prefer staying in this tab (which means you have to click the "back" arrow to return to the blog) or in a new tab that you can always close when finished?

Practice Blog #1

This is a practice blog, there will be more to follow.

Blogger has a new interface that I need to become familiar with. So that's the purpose of these pre-Paris blog posts. They won't contain any Paris info so you can delete or skip over them.

The real stuff begins around Aug. 31 or Sept. 1.
